Quality Officer

About the role

You will support the Quality function by maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with GDP standards, ISO requirements and client expectations. The role is based in the East Midlands with occasional travel to Birmingham and works 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Provide QA support to internal departments, ensuring activities align with GDP standards and company procedures.
• Manage change controls, deviations and CAPA records, guaranteeing timely completion.
• Coordinate supplier audits, internal audits and annual reviews, and prepare documentation for client audits and regulatory inspections.
• Collate and analyse data for reports, investigations, KPIs and quality metrics.
• Support supplier management, verification, audit actions and performance monitoring.
• Contribute to QMS development in line with GDP, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
• Assist with client onboarding, including validation, SAP testing and process walkthroughs.
• Review inbound documentation, returns paperwork and temperature monitoring data, applying ALCOA principles.

Required profile

• Highly organised and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all business levels.
• Experience in quality administration, document control and audit support.

Required skills

• Good Manufacturing Practice (GDP) knowledge.
• ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 familiarity.
• CAPA management.
• SAP testing experience.
• Understanding of ALCOA principles.
