Quality & Stock Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

Provide hands‑on quality control support across goods‑inward inspection and production activities, ensuring purchased components and manufactured products meet defined quality standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support goods‑inward inspection of purchased components, materials and assemblies against drawings, specifications, purchase orders and ISO 9001/14001 requirements.
• Maintain accurate, traceable inspection and quality records and provide data for reporting, audits and KPI monitoring.
• Identify non‑conforming products, raise factual non‑conformance reports and support investigation, corrective action and closure.
• Carry out routine and ad‑hoc in‑process inspections on the shop floor, working proactively with production personnel.
• Perform internal and supplier audits as required to support the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Use measuring equipment such as verniers, multimeters and other calibrated inspection tools correctly.
• Analyse recurring issues, trends and risks and contribute to improvement activities to reduce defects, rework and waste.

Required profile

• Previous experience in quality control, inspection or manufacturing support, including goods‑inward or in‑process inspection.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements and ability to operate within structured management systems.
• Competent use of Microsoft Word and Excel for inspection records and basic data analysis.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Clear and professional communication skills, confident in identifying and documenting quality issues.

• Use of vernier calipers and multimeters
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (desirable)
• Understanding of basic audit principles
