Quality Systems Engineer – ISO 9001 Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Systems Engineer to own and enhance our ISO 9001 Quality Management System within a fast‑moving bolt and pipeline manufacturing business. You will work closely with production, supply chain and senior management to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement and support customer and supplier quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 QMS, including controlled documentation, procedures and traceability records.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) from initiation through investigation, root‑cause analysis, corrective action, CAPA implementation and closure.
• Support internal, external certification and customer audits, ensuring audit readiness.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using quality data, trend analysis and problem‑solving tools.
• Coordinate document control, manufacturing documentation packs and supplier quality investigations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a quality engineering or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and practical experience managing QMS processes.
• Hands‑on experience with NCR and CAPA cycles, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action verification.
• Ability to work across departments and influence process improvements.
