Quality Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join a specialist manufacturer of made‑to‑order electrical accessories. You will work on the factory floor ensuring that all materials, components and finished products meet the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned, first‑off, in‑process and final inspections across manufacturing operations.
• Perform roving inspections throughout the factory to identify potential quality issues before they become defects.
• Inspect incoming materials and components to verify compliance with quality specifications.
• Inspect finished products prior to dispatch using a range of measurement tools.
• Maintain accurate inspection records in the IFS ERP system and associated quality documentation.
• Support the introduction of new products through prototype, first‑article and production inspections.
• Assist in developing inspection methods, quality standards and documentation for new products.
• Participate in internal quality audits, ISO 9001 compliance activities and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing environment performing quality inspections.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management procedures.
• Ability to work accurately and maintain detailed records.

Required skills

• Use of verniers, micrometers, gauges and visual inspection techniques.
• Proficiency with the IFS ERP system for recording inspection data.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 standards.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with an excellent salary range of £28,000‑£32,000 per year.
• Standard working hours: 7:30 am‑4:30 pm Monday‑Thursday, 7:30 am‑12:30 pm Friday.
