Quality Technician – Manufacturing (Gloucestershire)

About the role

This is a hands‑on Quality Technician position within a fast‑paced precision engineering business that produces electrical assemblies and soldered components. The role offers early‑career professionals the chance to take real responsibility for quality activities, customer issues and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Investigate and resolve customer quality complaints.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits and assist with external audit preparation.
• Work closely with production teams to drive quality improvements.
• Assist with inspection processes to ensure product compliance.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives across manufacturing.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a Quality, QA or QE role within manufacturing.
• Exposure to electrical, electronics or precision assembly environments is desirable.
• Proactive mindset with a desire to learn and progress.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑team and customer interaction.

Required skills

• Root‑cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys).
• CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) methodology.
• Internal and external audit experience.
• Quality Management System (QMS) handling.
• Inspection and product compliance procedures.
