Quality Test Engineer (SC Cleared)

About the role

We are seeking an SC‑cleared Quality Test Engineer to join a client’s Agile delivery team. The role involves test automation, performance testing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, with remote work and occasional travel to Hursley and London.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute test cases across multiple technology stacks.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
• Design and implement performance testing strategies.
• Execute performance and load testing activities.
• Investigate issues through debugging, tracing and log analysis.
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders in an Agile delivery team.
• Support CI/CD and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Current SC Clearance (with option to upgrade to DV).
• Proven experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices.
• Experience in performance testing and test strategy creation.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with Selenium and BrowserStack.
• Familiarity with debugging, logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Azure Application Insights, Azure Event Hub, Adobe Insights or Qualtrics.
• Experience with Gatling and Azure DevOps.
• Automation scripting experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Docker and application architecture principles.
