Quantity Surveyor – Civils (Glasgow)

About the role

We are seeking a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 civils contractor on the east side of Glasgow. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both from home and the office while acting as the primary commercial contact for projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors and supply‑chain partners, including enquiries, quotations, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare and submit Applications for Payment on time, ensuring full entitlement for works and variations.
• Issue contractual notices as required and support the CVR reporting process.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance and Delivery teams to control costs, monitor budgets and forecast financial performance.
• Assist in post‑contract management and dispute resolution where needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading projects in a civil engineering or construction environment.
• Strong commercial, contractual and legal understanding, with experience managing clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ideally holds an engineering or commercial degree; an electrical background is a plus but not essential.
