Quantity Surveyor – Commercial & Contract Management

About the role

Following the acquisition of Littlewood Group, Network Plus is expanding its commercial capability across the UK. The Quantity Surveyor will support the Commercial Manager in driving cost efficiencies, managing project finances and ensuring contractual compliance for a range of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project costs, produce weekly P&L reports and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Review contract documents, identify issues and advise on risk and opportunity.
• Prepare and review commercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and finance reports.
• Handle subcontract management – forecasting, ordering, negotiating terms and certifying valuations.
• Administer change control, assess variations and compensation events.
• Submit interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts to clients.
• Participate in on‑site risk, progress and commercial meetings.
• Support tender pricing and assist credit control with cash recovery.

Required profile

• Degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
• Experience in the utilities or infrastructure sector, preferably with MOD, MOJ or HS2 projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage project financial performance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in cost management and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of subcontract administration and change control processes.
• Ability to assess and value variations and compensation events.
