Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Projects (East London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in East London. You will support the Commercial Manager and senior surveyors across the full project lifecycle, from pre‑contract to final accounts, ensuring commercial performance and cash collection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and client representatives.
• Manage sub‑contracts, including tender enquiries, award, and monthly payment applications.
• Prepare and support monthly cost variance reports (CVR) and forecasts.
• Produce, substantiate and agree final accounts for projects.
• Follow JB Riney, Tarmac and client processes to minimise commercial risk.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across JB Riney, Tarmac and CRH to ensure accurate valuation and cash flow.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying.
• Experience with NEC TSC contracts and ICC Term Contracts, preferably on highways, infrastructure or maintenance projects.
• Strong numeracy, analytical ability and commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence (≤6 penalty points) and ability to travel within the region.
