Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Team (Milton Keynes)

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team of a leading traffic management contractor based in Milton Keynes. You will support the commercial delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the South East, East Midlands and East of England.

Key responsibilities

• Support commercial management of projects from contract award through to final account.
• Prepare and submit valuations, payment applications and compensation events/variations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts to maximise profitability.
• Assist in the preparation of Cost Value Reconciliations and other commercial reports.
• Procure and commercially manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide practical advice to operational teams.
• Support negotiations and the agreement of final accounts.

Required profile

• Proven quantity surveying experience within highways, traffic management, utilities, infrastructure or broader civil engineering projects.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and commercial processes.
• Ability to work closely with operational teams and maintain client relationships.
