Quantity Surveyor – Cost Management & Commercial Expertise

About the role

You will join a leading engineering client to provide robust cost management across the full project lifecycle. The role focuses on accurate financial control, commercial compliance and high‑quality reporting for complex engineering schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost plans, engineering estimates and expenditure profiles.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and commercial performance reporting.
• Lead contract administration, including variation management and change control.
• Support procurement through cost evaluation, tender assessments and supplier reviews.
• Monitor project expenditure against baselines and flag potential risks.
• Produce structured cost models, pricing schedules and supporting commercial documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in commercial, cost or contract management within engineering, construction or technical project environments.
• Strong understanding of cost planning, estimating and financial control for engineered scopes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contract terms and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation and contractor management in engineering supply chains.
• Highly analytical with strong numerical capability and attention to detail.
