Quantity Surveyor – Cost Management – London

About the role

Join an established construction consultancy located in the heart of the City of London. The team is expanding its cost management capability and seeks a proactive Quantity Surveyor to manage pre‑ and post‑contract duties across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, mixed‑use, education and hospitality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, estimates and feasibility reports.
• Manage tender documentation, procurement processes and contractor selection.
• Deliver post‑contract services including valuations, variations and cost reporting.
• Attend client meetings, site inspections and project progress reviews.
• Assist with final accounts and commercial close‑out.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and design teams.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Previous UK consultancy experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience delivering both pre‑ and post‑contract cost management services.
• Working towards MRICS chartership or keen to achieve it.
• Good understanding of JCT contracts.
• Strong communication, organisational and client‑facing skills.
