Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial team delivering high‑value infrastructure projects across the South West of England. The role offers a 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension, working in a hybrid model (1‑2 days on site) and providing commercial oversight from early delivery through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Quantity Surveying and commercial support across multiple infrastructure projects.
• Administer and manage NEC contracts.
• Review project costs, budgets, forecasts and contractor submissions.
• Support Project Managers with commercial advice and decision‑making.
• Monitor project spend and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Assist with contract communications, change management and contractor engagement.
• Build strong working relationships with project teams and supply‑chain partners.
• Support cost assurance, risk management and reporting activities.
• Attend project sites as required to maintain stakeholder relationships and project oversight.

Required profile

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial QS.
• Background in infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or major construction projects.
• NEC contract experience (any option considered).
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
