Quantity Surveyor – Planned Repairs & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the Planned Repairs & Maintenance division of Axis CLC. The role focuses on commercial excellence across projects, managing valuations, pricing variations and maximising profit while collaborating with clients, delivery teams and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and monitor all commercial activities to achieve project objectives and profit targets.
• Review and submit applications for payment and ensure timely invoicing of completed jobs.
• Maintain and cleanse Schedule of Rates (SOR) data, advise on correct SOR code usage and maximise its use across workstreams.
• Approve contra charges, cost transfers and monitor material spend and plant hire.
• Secure best value from subcontractors and suppliers, review variations and obtain client approvals where required.
• Produce accurate cost‑to‑complete and value forecasts, reporting any variances affecting margin or programme.
• Assess contract terms for commercial risk and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and HR policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and uphold company values.

Required profile

• Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates, JCT, NEC and NHF contract terms.
• Familiarity with Price Per Property contract models.
• Social housing background (desirable).
• Strong IT literacy.
• Previous Quantity Surveying experience (essential).
