Quantity Surveyor – Reactive Maintenance Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our infrastructure team delivering reactive maintenance and developer services for Thames Water. The role can be based in Esher or Kentish Town and offers a fast‑moving environment where each day brings new challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and price groundworks and civil engineering works.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and procurement.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and support payment applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and maximise contract profitability.
• Monitor costs and work closely with operational teams to resolve commercial issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering or groundworks.
• Experience pricing groundworks or civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge of subcontract procurement and account management.
• Ability to handle several live workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and a practical approach to problem solving.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
