Quantity Surveyor – Utilities (Temp-to-Perm)

About the role

We are partnering with a Tier 1 contractor delivering major utilities and infrastructure projects. The successful Quantity Surveyor will join a collaborative commercial team, supporting the delivery of projects from pre‑construction through to final account while ensuring safety, efficiency and commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage applications for payment.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and CVR (Cost‑Value‑Report) documentation.
• Procure subcontractors and manage their accounts.
• Administer contracts, variations and change‑control processes.
• Support compensation events and commercial change procedures.
• Maintain cash‑flow forecasts and cost‑to‑complete reporting.
• Work closely with operational teams to maximise value and minimise risk.
• Build and sustain relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within utilities, nuclear, aviation, environmental or M&E sectors.
• White CSCS Card or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, especially NEC contracts.
• Proven ability to produce CVRs, forecasts and cost reports.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts and payment applications.
