Quantity Surveyor – Wastewater Infrastructure Framework

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial aspects of wastewater infrastructure projects, from small asset upgrades to large‑scale civil new‑build developments. The role focuses on protecting margins, cash flow and delivering projects safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly cost/value reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasts, cost control reports and budgets.
• Draft and issue contractual notices and formal correspondence in line with NEC contracts.
• Prepare main contract payment applications and certify supply‑chain payment certificates.
• Manage subcontract enquiries, negotiate terms, award contracts, control variations and finalise accounts.
• Identify commercial risks, develop mitigation strategies and pursue value‑engineering opportunities.
• Liaise with site operations, subcontractors and client commercial representatives to maintain accurate allocation sheets and site diaries.

Required profile

• Commercial experience in civil engineering, utilities or heavy infrastructure.
• Strong cost‑analysis and spreadsheet development abilities.
• Good working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Understanding of risk management and project programme tracking.
• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Working towards or enrolled in RICS or CICES chartership.
