Quantum Sales – Edinburgh

About the role

The Quantum Sales role supports AQT’s commercial team as it expands market penetration for its modular quantum instruments. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be the primary contact for customers in the trapped‑ion and cold‑atom communities, translating their experimental needs into AQT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for global sales of quantum instruments, covering more than five product lines targeting the AMO community.
• Identify and engage potential customers in the trapped‑ion and cold‑atom sectors, handling enquiries and qualifying leads.
• Support customers throughout the pre‑sales process, preparing technical documents, case studies and data‑sheets.
• Attend trade shows, conferences and customer sites worldwide (≈25‑40% travel).

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physics, engineering or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with trapped‑ion, cold‑atom or quantum‑emitter experimental techniques is beneficial.
• Experience interacting with customers or working in a commercial team.
• Ability to record work and drive productivity using a CRM system.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong organisational skills.
