R2R Manager

About the role

My client, a leading UK business, is seeking an R2R Manager to join their new offices in Warrington. The role sits at the centre of the finance function, driving standardisation and process development across a complex multi‑entity group. You will lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end activities while developing a high‑performing team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes for multiple legal entities.
• Oversee preparation and approval of complex journals, including accruals, pre‑payments, payroll, intercompany transactions and provisions.
• Provide guidance on technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, fixed assets, impairments and provisions.
• Drive implementation of new accounting standards and updates to group policies.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through reconciliation reviews and resolution of high‑risk items.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and settlements across entities.
• Review trial balances and statutory reporting packs, coordinating audit deliverables with external auditors.
• Supervise, coach and develop junior R2R team members, leading onboarding and training initiatives.
• Identify and embed continuous‑improvement opportunities, including automation and standardisation.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
• Significant post‑qualification experience in record‑to‑report or similar finance roles.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑entity close processes and manage a team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
