Radio Communications Engineer

About the role
Join the Civil Nuclear Constabulary as a Radio Communications Engineer and help keep critical voice communication systems running for police officers and emergency services across the UK. This permanent, office‑based position also involves travel to sites and occasional unsocial hours to support operational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and deliver projects that support the Operational Communications Strategy.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in radio devices and related equipment.
- Provide tactical and operational advice, translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Represent the Constabulary when collaborating with external partners and stakeholders.
Required profile
- Vocational qualification or relevant work experience in radio engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience installing, integrating and maintaining technical radio or communications systems.
- Strong planning, documentation and prioritisation abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Continuous UK residence for at least five years to meet police vetting criteria.
