Rail Replacement Coordinator – Flexible Zero‑Hours Role

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic, customer‑focused Rail Replacement Coordinators to join Arriva Road Transport Services in North East England. Working on‑site at key train stations, you will ensure that rail replacement services are delivered safely, smoothly and efficiently, supporting passengers and coordinating with transport providers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day delivery of planned and emergency rail replacement services.
• Support drivers and ensure vehicles meet required standards.
• Monitor service performance to guarantee timely arrivals and departures.
• Maintain strong connections between rail and road services.
• Provide clear, helpful information to passengers and manage boarding.
• Respond to disruptions such as delays, traffic or incidents and adjust services as needed.
• Work closely with control teams to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure safe and organised pick‑up and drop‑off areas.
• Carry out passenger counts, report service data and record incidents.
