About the role

We are seeking an experienced React Native Engineer to join a fast‑moving product team on a short‑term contract. The role focuses on building and enhancing an Android fitness app, leveraging Expo and AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve features for an Android fitness application using React Native.
• Work within an Expo‑based codebase to ensure smooth cross‑platform performance.
• Collaborate remotely with product and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes quickly.
• Utilise Claude and other AI tools to accelerate problem‑solving and development workflows.
• Contribute to pragmatic technical decisions throughout the contract period.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience as a React Native Engineer.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Expo.
• Proven track record building Android mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Claude, agentic development approaches, and AI‑assisted engineering workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote, contract‑based environment.
• Comfortable delivering rapidly in a startup or product‑led setting.
