Reactive Resolution Support Operative (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Reactive Resolution Support Operative provides proactive support to United Utilities' Waste Water Treatment Works network, ensuring that fleet, tools and equipment are ready for shift transitions. You will work on preparing vehicles, managing stores and maintaining a tidy, safe yard environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and emergency plant kits for defects and report to the Drainage Delivery Manager.
• Prepare Cityflex vans, pack units and emergency plant kits for rapid deployment.
• Carry out first‑line maintenance on vehicles, emergency plant, stores and specialist equipment.
• Calibrate and certify specialist equipment such as man‑entry gear and gas detectors.
• Maintain accurate stock records, manage store access and raise purchase orders.
• Audit vehicle cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with framework suppliers and United Utilities fleet for timely repairs.
• Perform basic data entry related to equipment and stock management.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a yard environment and follow H&S procedures.
• Attention to detail for defect reporting and equipment checks.
• Basic numeracy and data‑entry skills for stock recording.
• Team‑oriented attitude to support shift handovers.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £15.64
