Reactive Resolution Support Operative – Utilities Fleet Team

About the role

The Reactive Resolution Support Operative works within United Utilities' fleet team to prepare wagons, conduct stock takes and keep the yard organised and safe. The role ensures that equipment and vehicles are ready for shift transitions, supporting the Reactive Resolution Teams that deliver first‑time resolutions for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and emergency plant kits for defects and report them to the Drainage Delivery Manager.
• Prepare Cityflex vans, pack units and emergency kits for rapid deployment.
• Carry out first‑line maintenance on vehicles, emergency plant, stores and specialist equipment.
• Maintain calibration and certification of man‑entry equipment and gas detectors.
• Manage store access, record stock levels and raise orders through the Drainage Support Officer.
• Audit vehicle cleanliness and safety compliance, and ensure contractor checks are completed before vehicles leave the yard.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a yard environment and follow H&S procedures.
• Attention to detail for defect identification and reporting.
• Good organisational skills to keep stores and equipment tidy.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £15.64
• 30‑hour week, Monday‑Friday
