About the role

We are seeking a senior commercial property solicitor to lead and develop our commercial real‑estate practice in Manchester. This associate‑director/director level position offers autonomy, strategic influence and the chance to shape a growing team within a well‑established professional services group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the commercial property team, setting strategy and direction.
• Advise on acquisitions, disposals, landlord‑tenant matters, commercial leases and licences.
• Manage portfolio and property finance transactions.
• Provide real‑estate support on corporate deals, including M&A and demergers.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• 8+ years post‑qualification experience in commercial property.
• Strong technical knowledge of a broad range of real‑estate matters.
• Experience supporting corporate transactions from a real‑estate perspective.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior lawyers.

Required skills

• Commercial property law expertise.
• Property finance transaction experience.
• Corporate real‑estate advisory (M&A, demergers).
• Client relationship and business‑development skills.
