Real Estate Finance Associate

About the role

Our client, a leading national law firm, is expanding its Banking & Finance team and seeks a Real Estate Finance Associate with 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience. The role offers immediate responsibility on high‑value, complex real estate finance transactions across the commercial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Advise lenders and borrowers on a wide range of real estate finance deals.
• Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, security documents and ancillary finance paperwork.
• Support financing of acquisitions, developments, refinancings and investment transactions.
• Work with Real Estate, Corporate and Construction teams on multi‑disciplinary matters.
• Manage transaction processes from instruction through completion, including due diligence and title review.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice and assist with business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor status (or equivalent).
• 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in real estate finance.
• Proven experience acting for lenders, borrowers or both on secured lending transactions.
• Strong understanding of banking and finance documentation.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating facility agreements and security documents.
• Ability to conduct due diligence on property‑related matters.
• Knowledge of property‑backed lending across various asset classes.
