Reception Teacher – Brent (Start Sep 2026)

About the role
A welcoming primary school in Brent is looking for a qualified Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team from September 2026. The role focuses on supporting Reception‑aged pupils with autism spectrum condition (ASC) and ADHD, delivering inclusive, high‑quality EYFS provision.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons that develop communication, independence, social skills and early learning.
- Use structured routines, visual aids, sensory strategies and adaptive teaching methods to meet the needs of pupils with ASC and ADHD.
- Collaborate closely with the EYFS Lead, SENCO, support staff, families and external professionals.
- Contribute to wider Early Years planning and lead adult support within the classroom.
- Maintain strong safeguarding practices and monitor pupil progress.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience supporting children with ASC and ADHD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the EYFS framework, early communication and behaviour regulation.
- Calm, organised, reflective practitioner with high expectations for every child.
- Resilience, warmth and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
Required skills
- Use of visual schedules, sensory tools and adaptive teaching techniques.
- Ability to implement structured routines and behaviour regulation strategies.
