Reception Teacher – Full-time, September 2026

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Stevenage to find an experienced Reception Teacher to join the team from September 2026. The school is a small, community‑focused, half‑form entry primary school that values inclusion, wellbeing and high‑quality early years education.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for a Reception class.
• Deliver creative, EYFS‑aligned lessons that encourage play‑based learning.
• Create a language‑rich, stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess children’s progress and plan personalised learning pathways.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Collaborate with the leadership team and fellow staff.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching in Reception or the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Strong understanding of child development, phonics and the EYFS curriculum.
• Commitment to high expectations and excellent outcomes for every child.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative approach.
