Reception Teacher – Full‑time Temporary (Sept–Dec 2026) – Chester

About the role

We are seeking a Reception Teacher for a large primary school in Chester. The position runs full‑time from September 2026 until Christmas 2026, with a possible extension into January 2027. This is a temporary assignment, ideal for teachers who want to gain experience in the EYFS phase.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to Reception pupils.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and create a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with a large teaching team to plan and assess pupil progress.
• Prepare lesson materials and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience or strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Effective behaviour management skills.
• Ability to work well within a large team.
• Proof of right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• CV covering at least ten years of education or employment.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one (cost reimbursed).
