Reception Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Camden, London. The role starts in September 2026 on a permanent basis and offers the chance to shape the early years experience of a diverse group of children.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum.
• Support children’s early communication, literacy, numeracy and personal development.
• Complete observations and assessments to monitor progress and inform planning.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate closely with the Early Years team to ensure outstanding provision for all pupils.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within the EYFS, preferably in a Reception class.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and early child development.
• Ability to assess children’s progress and plan to meet individual learning needs.
• High expectations for children’s learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
