Reception Teacher (Job Share) – 2.5 days/week

About the role
This is a 2.5‑day‑per‑week job‑share position teaching Reception in a well‑regarded 1‑form entry primary school on the Camden/Islington border. The role starts in September and runs on a 1‑year fixed‑term contract, with working hours from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) lessons for Reception pupils.
- Collaborate closely with a partner teacher to ensure seamless coverage of the timetable.
- Assess and monitor children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and senior staff.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Contribute to whole‑school initiatives that promote wellbeing and development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Proven experience teaching in Early Years settings.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- Ability to work effectively in a job‑share partnership.
- Not suitable for newly qualified teachers (ECTs).
