Reception Teacher – Supply & Long‑Term Opportunities in Tonbridge

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Tonbridge to recruit enthusiastic Reception teachers. The position can be taken on a supply basis or as a longer‑term appointment, offering immediate entry into a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, child‑centred lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning atmosphere for pupils aged 4‑5.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to parents and staff.
• Collaborate with senior teachers and leadership to support whole‑school initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to school‑wide safeguarding duties.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Experience teaching in EYFS or Reception settings.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Enthusiastic, creative and nurturing approach to early childhood education.
