About the role

As the first point of contact for guests at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere, you will deliver a polished, warm welcome that reflects the brand’s luxury heritage. The role blends front‑office administration with personalised guest service, ensuring every arrival and departure is seamless and memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, members and colleagues with a courteous, service‑focused attitude.
• Manage check‑ins, check‑outs and reservations efficiently using the Jonas booking system.
• Answer telephone calls promptly, providing accurate information and assistance.
• Promote spa treatments, retail products and other hotel services to maximise guest value.
• Maintain the front‑of‑house area to a pristine 5‑star standard at all times.
• Handle guest enquiries and concerns with empathy, escalating only when necessary.
• Complete daily checklists, cash‑handling procedures and hand‑overs between shifts.
• Follow health, safety and emergency protocols, including accident reporting and fire evacuation.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences.
• Flexibility to multitask and support additional duties as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Jonas booking system for reservations and guest management.
