Receptionist – Primary Care Team

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Receptionist to join the Primary Care Team at Roodlane Medical in Central London. The role is the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, delivering high‑quality customer care in a private healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, GPs and staff, handling enquiries in person, by phone and email.
• Issue and explain paperwork, ensuring forms are completed correctly.
• Maintain accurate records using the medical information system and Microsoft Office applications.
• Collaborate with the Registered Manager and clinical staff to support the patient journey.
• Escalate complaints or complex enquiries to the Senior Receptionist as required.
• Provide coverage across several central London clinics as needed.

Required profile

• Good general education – minimum GCSE level (5 GCSEs at C grade or above preferred).
• Previous experience in hospitality, service or healthcare environments is advantageous.
• Excellent spoken and written English with a professional telephone manner.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday within the specified shift patterns.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Computer literacy and experience using information systems.
