Receptionist & Student Visitor Services Officer

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist & Student Visitor Services Officer to join our client’s team in Kingston upon Thames. The role is the first point of contact for visitors, students, parents and staff, providing a professional and welcoming front‑desk service while supporting day‑to‑day administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and sign‑in all visitors, students and external stakeholders, following safeguarding procedures.
• Answer, triage and direct telephone calls and email enquiries.
• Manage student sign‑in/out and pupil attendance records.
• Maintain daily registers and update pupil and staff records.
• Assist with the organisation of school events such as Open Day and Prize Day.
• Provide first‑aid support during designated morning hours.
• Undertake additional administrative duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational ability and calmness under pressure.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role; experience in an educational setting is a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with school management information systems such as iSAMS or SIMS.
