About the role
The Business Support Team at the Kirkintilloch Health & Care Centre is looking for a Receptionist/Clerical Officer to join the Administration and Clerical Team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, providing a professional and courteous service while supporting a range of community health teams.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome clients and members of the public, manage telephone enquiries and maintain confidentiality.
- Handle internal and external mail, receive deliveries and supplies.
- Enter and update data using the EMIS system and manage both electronic and paper records.
- Allocate, change and confirm appointments face‑to‑face and by phone.
- File and maintain client records, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Control stock using the PECOS system.
- Provide reception and telephone support to various East Dunbartonshire community teams as required.
Required profile
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of personalities.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi‑disciplinary, multi‑agency environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.
Required skills
- Proficiency with EMIS (electronic medical record system).
- Experience using PECOS for stock control.
