Recruiter – Engineering Talent (London)

About the role

ALTEN is seeking a proactive Recruiter to join its London team and support the hiring of engineering talent for high‑profile clients such as Airbus, Rolls‑Royce and Thales. You will own the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from sourcing to offer, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
• Utilise job boards, LinkedIn, social media, networking events and referrals to attract top engineering candidates.
• Conduct phone and video interviews to evaluate technical and cultural fit.
• Maintain a proactive pipeline of qualified talent for current and future projects.
• Deliver a professional, engaging candidate experience that reflects ALTEN’s values.
• Track recruitment metrics, produce reports and recommend improvements to the hiring process.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of recruitment experience, preferably in engineering, technology or STEM sectors.
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
