Recruitment Consultant – Industrial Temps

About the role

Reed is seeking an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to lead its Industrial Temporaries desk in Southend-on-Sea. You will work with a mix of warehousing, logistics, manufacturing and industrial operations clients, matching high‑quality temporary talent to their short‑term needs.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with industrial clients across Southend and surrounding areas.
• Generate new business opportunities and expand existing accounts.
• Take job briefs, design tailored recruitment solutions and source suitable candidates.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle from vacancy to placement.
• Conduct compliance checks, including right‑to‑work verification and references.
• Deliver an excellent experience for both clients and candidates.

Required profile

• Previous agency recruitment experience, preferably in industrial, logistics, manufacturing or a related sector.
• Strong business development and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with people.
• Driven, resilient and motivated to succeed in a fast‑paced environment.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
