Recruitment & HR Assistant

About the role

Join a fast‑moving retail brand as a Recruitment & HR Assistant, acting as the first point of contact for HR and recruitment queries across more than 200 stores, head office and the Per‑Scent division. You will support the full employee lifecycle, from offer to onboarding and eventual off‑boarding.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for recruitment, offers, and onboarding, ensuring contracts are issued promptly.
• Handle first‑line HR and recruitment queries via phone, email, or face‑to‑face.
• Assist with implementation and optimisation of the Talent & Recruitment system.
• Collaborate with business teams to improve onboarding processes and support employee retention.
• Track probation periods, support managers, and manage leaver processes, including exit interviews and feedback analysis.
• Coordinate reference checks and maintain accurate paper and electronic employee files.
• Support HR system development, such as integrating Shopworks and People XD.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple HR processes simultaneously.
• Professional communication style for dealing with internal stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude towards improving HR procedures and employee experience.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS or recruitment platforms (e.g., Talent & Recruitment system).
• Familiarity with Shopworks.
• Familiarity with People XD.
