About the role

Academics, one of the UK’s fastest‑growing education recruitment agencies, is seeking an experienced Education Recruitment Consultant to step up as a Recruitment Team Leader in our London office. You will lead a high‑performing team, manage your own billing desk, and help schools across the region fill teaching and support roles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of education recruitment consultants.
• Run your own billing desk covering long‑term and short‑term school recruitment.
• Drive performance across the branch and build strong relationships with schools.
• Recruit, interview and manage a pool of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants to improve activity and results.
• Maintain high standards of service for clients and candidates.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in education recruitment.
• Proven biller ready to move into a senior/team‑leader role.
• Strong business development and relationship‑building abilities.
• Motivated, resilient and target‑driven.
• Confident using CRM systems and recruitment technology.
