Recycling Operative

About the role
Join a busy recycling facility in Barrow-in-Furness as a Recycling Operative. This full‑time temporary position offers a stable 40‑hour week, Monday to Friday, with competitive hourly pay and overtime rates.
Key responsibilities
- Sort a variety of recyclable materials efficiently.
- Assist with baling operations to prepare materials for transport.
- Carry out quality and safety checks throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Support day‑to‑day site operations as required.

- Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Team‑player who can thrive in a physically demanding role.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- No prior experience needed – full training will be provided.
Required skills
What we offer
- £13.60 per hour, paid weekly.
- Standard 40‑hour week, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm.
- Overtime paid at 1.4 × the hourly rate.
