About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Reflection Room Supervisor to create a calm, structured environment where students can reflect on their behaviour, reset, and re‑engage with learning. This role is pivotal in supporting young people at Duke's Aldridge Academy to maintain high expectations while making positive choices.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the Reflection Room, ensuring a safe and purposeful setting.
- Supervise students removed from lessons or completing internal suspensions, keeping them engaged with learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour incidents, and progress.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, Behaviour Leads, parents, and senior leaders to coordinate interventions.
- Support the implementation of the academy’s positive behaviour culture.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people in a school or comparable setting.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and confident when managing challenging behaviour.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage records and competing priorities.
- Proactive, resilient, and solution‑focused approach with high expectations of behaviour and learning.
