Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer – Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join a long‑standing, family‑run company serving commercial clients across Teesside. The role is full‑time, permanent and based onsite, offering a competitive OTE of £52,000‑£58,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and optimise refrigeration and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cold‑rooms, display cabinets and related systems.
• Complete all required documentation for reactive and planned works.
• Maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, ensuring high‑quality service.
• Adhere to health & safety procedures and client‑specific site requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning Engineer.
• Minimum Refrigeration Handling C&G 2079 (F‑Gas) certification.
• Full UK driving licence and a clean enhanced DBS check.

Required skills

• F‑Gas (C&G 2079) certification.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems – fridges, freezers, display cabinets, cold‑rooms, chillers.
• Experience with split‑system A/C, VRV and AHU units.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
