Refrigeration Tutor / Assessor (Trainee or Qualified)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Refrigeration Tutor/Assessor to deliver both theoretical and practical training to learners pursuing accredited qualifications in refrigeration, heat pumps and air conditioning. Whether you are a trainee eager to develop teaching skills or a qualified assessor, you will play a key part in shaping the next generation of HVAC professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands‑on training sessions covering refrigeration, heat pump and air‑conditioning systems.
• Coach, support and motivate learners throughout their programmes, monitoring progress against expectations.
• Assist in creating and updating learning resources and training materials.
• Maintain accurate documentation of learner progress and assessment outcomes.
• Identify and overcome barriers to learning, adapting delivery methods to meet individual needs.

Required profile

• Level 3 Award in F‑Gas and ODS Regulations (Category 1).
• At least one City & Guilds accredited qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning or Heat Pumps (e.g., 7189‑02, 6090‑20, 6090‑30, 6090‑21, 6090‑31, 6007, 6017, 6087, 257 part 1/2, 207/3, 6127).
• Relevant occupational experience in refrigeration, heat‑pump or air‑conditioning fields.
• Good IT proficiency.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.

Required skills

• F‑Gas and ODS regulatory knowledge (Level 3 Award).
• City & Guilds qualification in HVAC‑related subjects.
• IT skills for preparing and delivering training content.
