About the role
We are seeking a compassionate Refuge Support Worker to join our Domestic Abuse Service in Tower Hamlets, London. The role is a fixed‑term, full‑time position (36 hours per week) offering a salary of £27,705.60 per year.
Key responsibilities
- Provide key‑working support for an assigned caseload, empowering women and children in the refuge.
- Complete DASH risk assessments and develop personalised support/action plans.
- Assist clients with practical tasks such as benefits applications and attending medical or external appointments.
- Promote choice and control, working flexibly to meet individual needs.
- Build and maintain links with local agencies and service providers.
Required profile
- Enjoys social interaction and encourages client involvement in community activities.
- Warm, friendly presence with an open attitude.
Required skills
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) with relevant sector experience.
