Refuse Driver – Waste Collection (Full‑Time Temporary)

About the role
We are looking for reliable, safety‑focused Refuse Drivers to join a dedicated team delivering waste and recycling services across the local borough. You will operate a commercial collection vehicle as part of a small crew, interacting professionally with residential and commercial customers.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a waste collection vehicle safely and efficiently on assigned routes
- Collect various waste types from residential and commercial premises
- Work collaboratively with loaders and other crew members
- Follow daily schedules and adhere to route plans
- Provide courteous customer service during each collection
Required profile
- Valid UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, reasons to be discussed if applicable)
- CPC card and documented CPC hours
- Tachograph card
- Flexibility to work early starts, long shifts and occasional weekends
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Required skills
- Ability to operate a commercial waste collection vehicle
- Competence with tachograph equipment and CPC regulations
