Regional Care Assistant - Bank

About the role

This casual, part‑time Bank position offers flexible working across a 20‑mile radius of Barchester care homes. You will provide warm, empathetic, and respectful care to residents, ensuring they enjoy meaningful one‑to‑one time on every shift.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and deliver care while on duty, including taking temperature and blood pressure.
• Contribute to person‑centred care planning for each resident.
• Record observations and maintain accurate care documentation.
• Provide companionship and support to promote residents' wellbeing.
• Cover shifts as needed for annual leave, sick leave, or inspections.

Required profile

• Previous experience in elderly care or a similar setting.
• Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care (desirable).
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (desirable).
• Own a car or have reliable access to one; mileage reimbursed beyond five miles.
• Dedicated, compassionate, and flexible attitude.
