Regional Director

About the role

Lead a portfolio of care homes across the North East, inspiring operational leaders to deliver outstanding quality, commercial performance and sustainable growth. This senior position reports to the Managing Director and is central to the organisation’s strategic vision for high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to Area Directors, Regional Support Managers and Home Managers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards and financial sustainability across all homes.
• Use performance data to identify improvement opportunities, manage risk and drive continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, regulators and external partners.
• Support commissioning activity, service development and future regional growth.

Required profile

• Significant senior operational leadership experience in adult social care or another highly regulated, multi‑site environment.
• Proven track record of improving quality, regulatory compliance and commercial performance.
• Deep understanding of adult social care regulation, governance, safeguarding and quality assurance.
• Experience managing regional financial performance, including occupancy and budgeting.
• Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness and ability to develop high‑performing leaders.
