Regional Driver Assessor – Transport & Logistics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced commercial driver or transport compliance professional to transition into a regional, corporate role as a Driver Assessor. You will be based in South East England, working flexibly between home, London‑area depots and regional sites, supporting the safety and competence of around 120 drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑employment, post‑accident and annual driver assessments across four local sites.
• Evaluate driver wellbeing and psychosocial factors, providing feedback and coaching.
• Collaborate with regional transport trainers to identify and close skills gaps.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and schedules using Microsoft Office tools.
• Report assessment outcomes to depot managers and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Background in commercial driving or transport compliance.
• Willingness to obtain professional driver assessor qualifications (training provided).
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to travel regionally and work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
