Regional Manager – North (Pathology)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced pathology operations leader to act as Operational Site Lead / Regional Manager for the North. Based in Manchester, you will manage the hub laboratory and oversee regional pathology services in Birmingham and Glasgow, driving performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational performance of the Manchester laboratory hub.
• Oversee service delivery and relationships with regional spoke laboratories.
• Drive KPI performance, quality standards and operational efficiency.
• Manage workforce planning, staffing and service development.
• Support strategic growth and change initiatives.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with UKAS, ISO15189 and other governance standards.
• Lead and support multidisciplinary laboratory teams.

Required profile

• Significant laboratory operations experience, preferably in pathology or diagnostic services.
• Proven track record of managing teams and operational performance.
• Experience working within UKAS / ISO15189 accredited environments.
• Strong stakeholder and leadership capabilities.
• Proactive, forward‑thinking leadership style.
